''Sleeping Giant'' is a 2015 Canadian drama film directed by Andrew Cividino. It was screened in the International Critics' Week section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Selection of the 54th International Critics' Week )〕
The film stars Jackson Martin, Reece Moffett and Nick Serino as Adam, Nate and Riley, three young boys spending the summer together in Thunder Bay, Ontario.〔("Cannes 2015: Andrew Cividino debuts with Thunder Bay-shot Sleeping Giant" ). ''National Post'', May 21, 2015.〕 It is an expansion of a short film, of the same title, that Cividino made in 2013.〔 The original short film version was a Canadian Screen Award nominee for Best Live Action Short Drama at the 3rd Canadian Screen Awards.
The feature version won the award for Best Canadian First Feature Film at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival〔("‘Room’ Wins Toronto Film Festival’s People’s Choice Award" ).
